Preamble
The Greater Niagara Photographic Association (GNPA) is an association of like-minded photographers who wish to interact with each other for the purpose of friendship, elevating the quality of their work and promoting their photography. This is done through but not limited to, an online Photographic Forums web site, social meetings and photography trips.
Basic Participant
Participation in the GNPA consists of two levels. Basic Participation will be free of charge and open to anybody, anywhere, with a genuine interest in photography.
These Basic Participants may request to join through the online Photographic Forums web site and if accepted, are free to participate fully in the public forums as well as attend many of the GNPA photographic outings and social meetings.
There are no demands made of a Basic Participant, either financial or to maintain any required level of activity. However, there is a limit of fifty images in their gallery for non-associates. Also, file uploads to the 'Downloads' section are not allowed.
Associate
The second level of participation is that of Associate.
A GNPA Associate enjoys all of the benefits of a Basic Participant plus is encouraged to attend GNPA business meetings and is entitled to vote on business related issues concerning the GNPA.
The Associate may also participate in private GNPA functions and events and make use of any equipment or facilities that the Association may rent or own. The Associate must also pay an annual fee, determined by a majority of the Associates, based on the costs of running the Association and is expected to be an active, fully participating member.
In order to advance to this level, an individual must fifirst have been a Basic Participant for a minimum of three months and must then be sponsored to become an Associate by a current Associate. All new Associates must be approved by a majority vote of the existing Associates.
